Fairweather Group Ltd (t/a claim.co.uk) is a Claims Management Company authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN: 935899). We do not provide legal advice - your claim will be handled by an SRA-regulated law firm. You can claim for free, either directly or via the Financial Ombudsman Service. No Win No Fee fee: up to 36% (inc. VAT). You can cancel within 14 days at no cost, but cancellation fees may apply after this period. Eligibility and claim outcomes depend on your individual circumstances and a proper investigation. We receive a fee after a successful payout or a referral fee from your solicitor and this does not affect the compensation you will receive.
After you fill out our short contact form, if we find eligible agreements you can then select which claims you want to proceed with before instructing a law firm to manage the claims on your behalf. The specialist law firm will handle all the paperwork, draft and submit your claims to the lenders and manage the entire claim process for you on a No-Win, No-Fee* Basis. The maximum success fee is 36% (inc. VAT) of your compensation.
Check your claim in minutes. No pressure. No obligation. Just answers.
Your claim, along with your personal details, will be sent to our legal panel member, Elmwood Law. They will securely store these details and provide updates on your claim throughout. You can inform us at any time if you wish to remove your personal details from our system, and you can cancel your claim free of charge within 14 days of beginning the claim.
Fairweather Group Ltd, the owner of claim.co.uk, is an FCA regulated and authorised Claims Management Company specialising in financial claims in the motor industry. Our office and team of 12 is based in Manchester, and we support claimants across the UK. We build tools and systems using modern technology to help people make claims they may otherwise struggle to pursue due to lack of time, knowledge, or paperwork. We then refer eligible claims to our trusted legal partners to pursue compensation. Over the past 5 years, we have helped 179,901 claimants make 203,436 legal claims across multiple sectors, including over 54,243 claimants who have made more than 90,675 car finance claims.
Since 2007, some car finance lenders allowed brokers, such as car dealers, to adjust the interest rates offered to customers. The higher the interest rate, the more commission the broker received. This was known as a Discretionary Commission Arrangement (DCA). These arrangements created an incentive for brokers to increase the interest charged, meaning millions of people may have been overcharged on car finance agreements taken out between 2007 and 2021. The FCA banned this practice in 2021. You can now make a claim against your lender to determine whether your agreement included a DCA and seek compensation for any overcharged interest, plus statutory interest where applicable.
To start your car finance claim, we require your personal details, including your first name, last name, current address, date of birth, and contact information. If you confirm you had eligible car finance with a qualifying lender, we will conduct a soft credit check to identify your agreement. This does not affect your credit score and means we do not require the original finance agreement, registration numbers, agreement numbers, or address history.
We are a registered UK business regulated by both the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) and the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority), meaning we are held to strict standards regarding financial promotions and how we treat clients. You can verify our registrations: Companies House Reg No 12783771, FCA FRN 935899, and ICO Registration No ZB048450 via their official registers.
The FCA enforces the principles within the FCA Handbook and specifically the Claims Management: Conduct of Business Sourcebook (CMCOB), which ensures we act in your best interests and comply with strict regulatory standards. Firms can face significant financial penalties for customer mistreatment.
The ICO enforces UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), which protect your personal information. Organisations that misuse data can face significant fines. If you have concerns about your data, you can contact us at info@claim.co.uk to arrange a confidential discussion.
All car finance claims started using our service are offered on a no-win, no-fee basis. Your claim will be referred to Elmwood Law and your agreement is with them. You will not pay us directly, as we receive a referral fee when eligible claims are referred. The maximum fee for a successful claim is capped at 36% including VAT. If your claim is unsuccessful, you will not pay a fee. If you cancel within the 14 day cooling off period, you will not pay a fee. If you cancel after 14 days, you may be charged based on the work completed and can request a summary of costs from the law firm.
